Ice Powder A non-toxic and odorless high water absorption polymer used to simulate frost and ice. Fully biodegradable, it can be disposed of readily through the sewer. It washes away with water and is non-irritations. Stability in dry form is indefinite. Choose this product for the following situations: Ice Powder has the ability to cling to bottles, cans and foods. It will stay put for hours under hot studio lights and will be endlessly adjustable.
Crystal Ice An aqueous, high water absorption polymer used to simulate crushed and cracked ice. Its resemblance to real ice is striking. It is supplied in granular form to which water is added in varying amounts. The material produced is gelatinous to the touch, but appears crisp and cool. You would choose this product for any shoot that calls for a large amount of crushed ice, but it is not recommended for use in beverages. In that situation our Soft Floating Ice is better. Crystal Ice is long lasting and is not affected by hot studio lights. It is also completely non-toxic, odorless, and biodegradable. Dispose of through the sewer. Crystal Ice is non-irritating and its stability in its dry form is indefinite.
Aqua Gel This is the thickest, clearest, water-based fluid available. Aqua Gel can be styled into rivulets and drops. It applies easily to beverage containers to give a natural, refreshing look. Aqua Gel is also easily dyed with food dyes. Consistency is similar to maple syrup, but thicker. You would want to use this product in the following situations:
Poly Gel A viscous water substitute. This crystal-clear gel-like substance will retain shapes to resemble small waves or disturbances in the surface of water. In conjunction with our acrylic cubes, icicles and ice blocks, you can make a product look "frozen in". Also use with our acrylic splashes and pours as fill-in. In addition, Poly Gel will hold bubbles (just puff them in with a straw) for a very effective boiling-water or carbonated look. Consistency is similar to hair-gel.
Crystal Snow Used to create sparkling artificial snow. Use Crystal Snow in photography, display and centerpieces. Ideal for close ups of snow. It is long lasting, non-toxic and non-flammable. Crystal Snow is highly realistic looking. Can hold footprints and other tracks.
Gel Cubes This product is great for creating crystal clear beds of ice. Not recommended for use in liquids or drinks as they will disappear. In that situation our Soft Floating Ice is better. They grow over 2" in size and can be broken with your fingers or shaved with a blade for more of a shard look.
Foam Booster A great foam enhancer for beverages. It keeps beer at attention under hot lights. It takes an ordinary warm beer and gives it a fresh-poured look that lasts and lasts.
Charcoal Briquettes Illuminate our charcoals from behind and they appear red-hot! Available for rent and purchase.
Fuller's Earth A fine, light gray prop dust. Indispensable for adding realism to cobwebs and many other uses.
Quick Thick Food Thickner Thicken any sauce, gravy, water, salad dressing, jelly or any liquids containing oil & water or vinegar and acid filled sauces that normally separate. Keep spaghetti noodles or other pasta from drying out under the lights. Can also be used to glisten meat and cut fruit.
Brush onto melted cheese to keep it looking fresh under hot lights.
